Directions
If you're coming from the north, follow the A1 highway and take the Firenze Nord exit. If you're coming from the south, take the A1 highway and then the Firenze Sud exit.
To reach us in the historic center, we recommend the following route: enter Via delle Ruote, turn right onto Via Santa Reparata, then left onto Via 27 Aprile, and finally, another left onto Via San Gallo. The hotel will be on your right at number 30.
The hotel is located within a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL). By following the recommended route, you'll pass through an electronic gate, but don’t worry – your transit will be automatically cleared by our partnered garage, which we highly recommend.
This is a private parking garage offering pick-up and drop-off service directly at the hotel for your convenience. The cost is € 40 per night, with a fee of up to € 50 for larger vehicles such as SUVs. No reservation is required for the garage. When you check out, you will be charged €3 per hour if you collect your car after 1 PM. There is also a municipal garage, "Parterre”, only 10-15 minutes away from the hotel, offering daily rates of approximately € 20.
Hotel Orto de’ Medici is just a 10-minute walk from Santa Maria Novella Station. If your train arrives there, you can easily reach us by taxi or tram (line T2 Valfonda stop, direction San Marco-Università). Simply get off at the "San Marco-Università" stop. From here it will take you about 2 minutes to walk to the hotel.
Alternatively, you can take bus Line 6 or Line 14 from the "Piazza Adua" stop, located in front of Burger King. Get off at the "Santa Reparata" stop, then walk just 3 minutes to the hotel at Via San Gallo 30.

If you're arriving at Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport, you can easily reach us by taxi. The average fare is around €28, plus €1.20 per bag. On nights and holidays, the fare increases to approximately €32, plus €1.20 per bag.
As an alternative, you can take the tram (line T2, direction San Marco-University) and get off at the “San Marco-University” stop. From here it will take you about 2 minutes to walk to the hotel.
