We just stayed at Hotel Orto De Medici and it was fabulous. We were able to walk to everything in Florence, including the train station. The front staff was excellent and very helpful. The three restaurants were among the best we ate at during out entire 2 week stay in Italy. We will definitely be using Orto De Medici again and would certainly recommend it for everyone.

Nice small hotel with a beautiful atmosfere. The building is neat from the outside, also the interieure is neat and clean. People are friendly and speak English very well. Room was also neat and clean for a 3 star hotel it is OK. One negative aspect, the very small douche cabin, I nearly slipped and fell, that small was the cabin. Otherwise, very close to the centre (500 meters walk to the Duomo and centre). Tip for restaurant: da Mimmo just across the street.

Wonderful Hotel: very helpful and friendly staff.
Room 40 is fabulous with terrace and large room.
Breakfast very nice.
Good location: closest to Accademia and The DAVID
but easy to walk to center city, mercato ( market), etc.
Interesting to note that in the garden behind this Hotel is where Michelangelo first learned to sculpt!
History is EVERYWHERE.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - eveything was better than we expected, room, location, staff helpfulness. The rooms were very clean and well appointed, the entire Hotel was decorated and furnished tastefully, we had interenet access in the main lounge, breakfast out on the sunny garden terrace was more than adequate and the Hotel was well situated for sightseeing. We just cannot wait to return to Florence and will definitely aim to stay at this Hotel again. Thanks for such an enjoyable first experience of Florence.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Hotel was quiet considering its central location. Staff helpful and friendly and breakfast was ample and varied. We had a superior room with spacious balcony to relax in and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Room spacious and very clean. Would recommend Hotel Orto de Medici and we hope to return one day.
