This hotel really fit the bill for us -- the room easily accomodated our family of four, the staff (especially Barbara at the front desk) were very helpful, and the location was an easy (5-10 minute) walk to the Duomo but far enough away to escape the crowds. And the coffee really is excellent! We highly recommend it.

Hotel Orto De Medici offers large rooms, excellent service, a delicious breakfast, a beautiful terrace and a location far enough from the Duomo to be quiet and close enough to be easily accessible. The coffee is to die for. I will return!

Great location near the historical center of Florence. Spacious, clean room (and very quiet also). Nice terrace in back for breakfast and before dinner drinks. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay there again.
